i have downloaded films from ares,and can play them ok in windows media player.Want to download to dvd,but no idea how to do that,converting etc.....is there a easy way...please help

ConvertX to DVD is the best as it is extremely fast. You need to convert the avi format to dvd and this can be burned as a normal dvd image using nero.

In my opinion the best software to burn CDs/DVDs is Ashampoo Burning. It's a free software and it can be downloaded here: http://j.mp/1sW2jms
If you want to make a DVD that will work on a common DVD player, you definitely need a burning software. Copying the movie as is directly to a new DVD it's not the right way to do it (If you do so your DVD player will not be able to play the video/movie properly).
The most reliable DVD burning program I used it Ashampoo Burning. It works with all types of videos and music (both with DVDs and CDs). Ashampoo is a very modern and professional software (you can also edit videos and create DVD menus)

've been burning video clips for a at the same time as now, i had the same difficulty,i do it this way!! decide on "make your man or woman dvd video" in nero 7, it converts each little thing to vob format, which any dvd participant performs! you are able to drag mpeg, avi's and if there bin documents, acquire iso buster to get the dat record, if ther bin documents!! wish ive helped :o)

Down load a programe called Nero. The instructions are so simple. You will be burning within 5 minutes
