Are they thinking of bicycle helmets? All the Moto-Gp guys would certainly be dead.

Mike’s Garage on Pensacola St in Tallahassee tows her car when her oil light came on and says the college girl’s motor is froze up when in fact there is a dead battery where a new one was. Luckily dad flew down there and retrieved the vehicle, and Mike, well he’ll just have to screw one of you people reading this.

Can they make motorcycles with a quiet motor? The sound of the motors really bothers me and hurts my ears whenever they drive by.

Is it because of the emitions, or because of the noise?

If it's the emitions, I can fix that problem.

My husband has a yamaha vstar and just recently he pulled it out of the storage unit to start. When he started the bike he was letting him warm up so he had the choke on, after 10 mins of warming it up he took the choke off, and tried to ride it but it died. The only way he could get it to start and stay started was to have the choke on it won't run without the choke, so we are going to have to have it hauled in. My first question is what could be wrong, how much will it probably cost to have fixed, and if he has insurance what is the likelihood towing would be covered?

A buddy of mine gave me an old motorcycle of his ('79 kawasaki) that he had in his shed the last couple years (he got from a friend too) that he didnt need (he's got a crotchrocket). Tires were flat and he said he thought the tank has rust or something in it and also that the bike started/ran when he first got it and then stopped. So I figure getting it fixed is cheaper than buying a used one (most likely). So what I want to do is try to refresh, replace, restore some smaller stuff that I can do myself and then if there is a bigger problem, can have a mechanic do that. I will be buying new tires. I will be tomorrow cleaning out the gas tank. Is there anything else smaller i can do to help restore the bike. I guess I should have prefaced this by saying that I got a new battery and the motor turns over (and lights come on) but doesnt start. I only tried it a few times because didnt want the rust contaniments in the gas tank to flow through the cycle.

Here in Denmark, it is 220% import duty on all vehicles.

So I'm gonna steal one I think.

Good idea?

I have a V-Star Custom, 650.

Now I've read quite a few things about the fuel reserve, but none have had a definite answer on what I'm wondering. I recently had a flat tire on my motorcycle, and it had to be picked up from the shop. Well, when the guy picked it up to take it to the shop, to get it onto the trailer, he turned the petcock to the "Reserve" position, instead of the "On" position (I've not needed to refuel yet).

I was just wondering, since I've been riding it in the "On" position, and not the "Reserve" position, will the reserve fill itself back up, or does it only refill when I've refueled?

Thanks! :)

I have a 2001 Suzuki GSXR 1000. Here's the problem: Someone tried to steal it and cut the cord/wire that connects to the ignition. So I took it to a shop and they told me that I need to get an entire ignition switch because the cord is not sold alone and they can not repair it without a new ignition. Is this correct?? They are trying to charge me an arm and a leg to replace this one cord. That's all that is wrong with the bike. Is there anything else I can do to fix this...can I order just the cord or do I need the entire ignition switch replaced? Please help with this...I hope I explained the situation correctly. If you need more explanation to answer, please let me know. Thanks much!
