i mistakenly bought some hubcaps online i knew they were used but once i got them they had scratches all over them but know i need to find out what is the best way to fix them myself spray paint what type ect............

i have a spare tire on my honda accord one of those donuts i have been workin and when i get off i don't have time to get to a car place that is open how long can i drive on the donut i am off monday and can put a tire on thier then but have been drivin around with the donut on my back passenger side since wed. is that to long or do i need to take off of work to get it done i drive about 1hr to and from work and have not been on the express way i have been taking the street i can't afford to take off but if i need to then i will any suggestions

I have a 97 Mercedes E420 and the air conditioning and heat both blow at the right temp, but with the same amount of pressure on low and high (very little pressure). With this little pressure the heat and air are pretty much useless unless you have your hands all over the vent. Anyone know what the problem could be and how labor intensive it will be to fix or what the cost would be. Any info would be helpful. Thanks

do you think it would be posible to tow a automatic transmision car,with the gearbox full up to the top of transmision fluid,that would make the diff covered with oil other parts would be covered aswell,as the oil pressure wont be there but the fluid is,the only way out for the transmision fluid is through the breather on top of the transmision..what do you think,thanks

under all conditions in summer and winter , but now days the temprature pointer goes up above the middle for 10 secounds or 20 secounds then it return again to the middle .. thats not normal ,it should be in the middle for all the times , ichecked all the cooling circuit component s, icleaned the radiator , removed the radiator thermostat , fan is ok , pipes are ok ,,no leakage of water ( i donot use the cooling liquid red or green ), and the pointer of the temprature still goes up then to the miiddle !!! during driving ,,, is it the fan works late ???? or the sensor of the temp . indicator corrupted ????

Our car was taken to a shop for a routine check up, and they said something was wrong with the transmission. They messed around with it and made everything worse than charged $3000 dollars. We then took the car to the dealer where they said the other car shop had messed up everything which voided the warranty, and its going to cost us another $4000 to fix it. Can we file a lawsuit against the first car shop who messed everything up? and if yes, how would we go about doing this? I appreciate your help!

I know I have a leak in the Transmission I put in a product called No Leak ...It stopped for a while ..Took the car for an oil change filled it with Synthetic oil made for older cars 2 days later it began to leak ...I bought a product that said the it would end the leaking within 200 miles of driving...So I'm losing a half of a quart a day ...And this product doesnt seem to be working NOW...and the drama continues ....While driving I hear a buzzing sound when I look under the car next to the gas filter ...Theres 2 cables which are connected to the furl pump thats buzzing and vibrating...What could that be????? Could it be the end of the car Ive only had it for 2 mths....178,000 miles if that helps! Automatic 4 cy.

my light works faintly, its just the casing is broken.

i noticed my truck moves or (jerks) a lot when im stopped at a red light or going very slow in traffic.its not that my truck phisically moves its that i feel something jerking.and the rpm gauge jerks down then back up when my truck jerks.its an automatic. any suggestions of what the problem is?

I took it and had the battery and altenator check and was told they were both good. However, I went and bought a new battery for it and it still won't even act like it is turning over, just nothing. I have been pushing it and popping the clutch now for a week, I don't know what to do.

When my engine is started, and I press on my brake pedal to unlock my gears to shift from park to drive, it won't unlock sometimes and I can't do anything! I noticed it the first time about a month ago, and it seems to be happening more often. I have noticed that I can also pull my key out of the ignition while the car is running! My manual doesn't say that my car has this capability. What's wrong with it? It's a 2000 Saturn LS. and has been in an accident... I slipped in snow and rammed into a curb going about 25 mph... got the damaged fixed, but I noticed that when I steer, sometimes my front tires make this jerking movement. aaaaaaaaaaaa help...

On my 1996 Volvo 850, and I have a few questions.

1. How hard will this be for someone who has never done anything more complicated than putting on a spare tire and replacing the air filter?

2. Will a tire iron be sufficient for reattaching my tires, or will I need one of those pneumatic drill things?

3. Will I be able to find the right shoes at a store like autozone?

And if you're curious, I drove 3 miles with the parking brake halfway up.

I barely scraped paint on this girl's bumper, so I asked if we could just not go through our insurance companies...her dad calls me a week later telling me that since the bumper is made out of plastic, they can't re-paint anything or fix it, and that the shop needs to REPLACE the whole bumper, which would cost $1300, but since he's SO nice, he's willing to settle for $500. In the case that I would've damaged it, I would've been fine paying up, but what I did is not worth more than $100. This happened 2 weeks ago- what should I do? He's threatening to go through the insurance if I don't pay up....

So I have already changed the fuel pump, the starter, and the battery in my car. I was wondering about the relay and where its located and what it looks like. I've seen some answers related to the topic, but my quesiton is a little bit different.

Supposing you're running your engine on 3rd gear with 3000 rpm(doing 60km/h), and 5th gear with 3000 rpm(doing 90 km/h). thereotically you consume similiar amount of fuel.

my question is that if I skip the gear four and run the engine on 5th gear, (ignoring the loss of power), do I save some gas? The speed will be the same but the RPM would be less on gear 5.
