i mistakenly bought some hubcaps online i knew they were used but once i got them they had scratches all over them but know i need to find out what is the best way to fix them myself spray paint what type ect............

What color are they suppose to be? If they are plastic, you'll need a special paint that sticks to plastic or at least a primer that does. You'll have to scuff sand them well and clean, especially any nooks and crannies,for the paint/primer to stick. DuPont has plastic trim spray paint....parts stores or home centers may carry it in various colors but may not match your existing color. Otherwise body shops may be able to paint them for you in the correct color. May be better just getting universal wheel covers at a parts store---20.00-40.00 for a set.

But why? Just buy some more "fun" looking hubcaps. They're not expensive and if you paint them, the paint will eventually get scratched off.
