My truck has a hard steering only when turning right at slow speed maneuvers or in park. Why?

It is a GMC Sierra 04 with 45k mil on it.

Probably the steering gear. If it was the pump it would be hard to steer in both directions and would likely me making a loud whining sound as well.

sounds like the power steering pump may be going bad have the pressure tested at a repair shop to be sure and it could be the rack & pinion also but i would start with the pump first

Could be a number of things. Could be dangerous. I would go to an alignment shop or tire store and get it looked at.
