Does it look like there's a leak? I'm paying $550 for it. Everything works on it. Needs a new oil pan and bolt for the transmission. He said it makes a thud when you first start driving the car due to the suspension.

Also, this sound like a good deal?

I have a 2005 Chevy Impala problem. Check engine light is on. A OBD II tester discovered a (power train 507) code. I don't have a book to decifer this and I can't find a web site that lists this code.

I have Nissan Altima GXE 2001 which will hit 100,000 mileage next month. I purchased this two years before at CarMax w/ 75000 on it. Since then, I had regular oil change every three months, tire rotation, wheel alignment, coolant flushing, cleaning fuel injection system all once. I replaced originally battery recently. What type of servicings should I need to get done to keep car in good condition. I usually take my car to Firestone as it is near to my work. But seems like they are not much sincere and try to rip off if possible. So not preferring to go with their recommendation.

I have a 2001 ford Focus. I noticed that the brake light on my dashboard was on. I opened up th hood and added brake fluid. Problem solved but for only 2 weeks and the light came back. I opened up the hood again and noticed brake fluid was low. It looks that my brakes are good but how can I check?

On a hot day my car made a rattling noise and the power steering went out after about 25 miles.

I have a standard 240d diesel and when it starts out in 1st gear, there is a repetitive pounding noise coming from the back of the car. It only does this in first gear. I am not sure if the pounding noise is coming from the differential or maybe from the cv joints, either one. Any possible problems that anyone knows of? What could it be?

Ok my boyfriend says that when his truck is on the pedal goes straight to the floor, doesnt stop. When its off the brake pedal has pressure again. He got some kinda cap and bled the brakes but he still has brake fluids. Hes getting real frustrated... any ideas on what to check next?

1994 ford ranger xlt, manual .. when driving in city i smelled burning. truck acted fine but after a while i noticed that the steering pulled to the left when braking. burning smell got more distinctive. was only three miles from home so i drove home. after stopping, a white cloud of smoke billowed from under the hood on the right side and smoke could be seen from just above the tire. my books say coolant but i am full of that and full of oil and full of power steering fluid and full of brake fluid. no leaks can be found. what could be the problem? wiring? clutch? thanks for any help.

Thats not really a question but, I was drilling holes for my behind the grill for my l.e.d's and as the drill went through the frame it quickly peirced the radiatior and it hissed for about 2 minutes and blew some fluid out but not much. Should I be worried? the hole was very small and didnt go in more than a mm. Is there a way to repair without costing lost of $? Do I need to repair? I started the car and let it run for a few minutes to see some reaction from the engine but it all "seemed" fine.

I or my parents have a '97 Eddie Bauer Expedition and it has of course the gas mileage, miles to empty and the compass lists what direction the car is facing or traveling. It is stuck right now on the SE direction and we tried reseting like when you reset the gas mileage and nothing changed. Any help please...

If the car does not make the start up noise when you turn the ignition but the radio and lights in the car works, what is the problem? If it is the starter or the alternator, how do I check these without a mechanic?

i backed into an old lady, and im wondering how much it will be to fix her crappy *** car. i put a slight dent on the front panel above the tire. she says it affects the driving (the tire is obsturucted)
nothing happened to my car, NOTHING!
i kelly blue booked her car and its not even worth 1000 bucks, i want to not go through insurance, because im still considered a young driver (im 20) and i already pay 200 bucks a month for insurance, this is the first accident ive ever been in, btw, and ive never gotten a ticket, or been pulled over.

so what are my options? how much do you think it will be to fix her junker?

I have a 97 Ford 7.3 powers stroke turbo diesel. It shifts smooth (no slipping or banging), It just seems to shift late around third gear, almost sounds like the engine is winding out (automatic trans). The tacometer doesn't seem to go past 25,000 rpms (that I have noticed- mabe 27,000), but it doesn't sound right- like mabe a sensor or the timing might be off?
The other day, I was going up hill from a dead stop and it shifted to second but did not shift to third until I got up the hill and I let off the gas pedal, then it shifted to third (I do not have a lead foot and I take it very easy). Something just seems off.
I have never owned a deisel so I don't want to be missing a early clue that something may be wronge.
Also, I was checking my trans fluid (while it was running), and it looked different then my gas Ford- not as red, lighter and kinda bubbly, but at the ok / full range on the dip stick. Is the bubblyish look normal?
I hope that I am just paranoid. Any suggestions?

I drive a lexus truck, I know because of the name its considered luxury. But lexus are nothing more than an upgraded toyota. Here's my problem because its a lexus mechanics use that to their full advantage and over charge me for minor problems. My battery died and when it did it took a few fuses with it. When I called the dealership to fix it they want me to tow my car to them and pay them $250 to change my battery and replace some fuses. Now I don't know much about cars but I did some research and for the parts it comes to $90. why are they charging me an extra $160 dollars for labor. thats ridiculious!! If I can't trust the people who sold me the car, how can I trust anyone else?
