Hello, I have a 91 Lincoln Town Car,The air ride went out on the highway,I'm thinking its the compresser?

How do I check the compresser?Already checked fuses.Any suggestions??

There's a switch in the back axle area of the body---it's mounted to the body and has a lever running from it to the axle---it turns on the compressor when the height of the body compared to the axle gets too low. sometimes that switch goes bad or the lever comes off....if the lever is attached, try removing it and moving it up and down to see if the compressor kicks on...if it doesn't, the switch could be bad or compressor. Check for power at the switch and compressor and grounds. Might be a switch on the front of the body also but not sure where it would be located.
