On a hot day my car made a rattling noise and the power steering went out after about 25 miles.
Also the battery icon lit up.
What's Wrong?

Your fan belt broke.

Sound like the belt broke if you take it to advance they will check for you and if it is broke they will be able to look up what belt you will need to fix it.

Open the hood and look...you'll find a missing belt or a lot of pieces all around
