i backed into an old lady, and im wondering how much it will be to fix her crappy *** car. i put a slight dent on the front panel above the tire. she says it affects the driving (the tire is obsturucted)
nothing happened to my car, NOTHING!
i kelly blue booked her car and its not even worth 1000 bucks, i want to not go through insurance, because im still considered a young driver (im 20) and i already pay 200 bucks a month for insurance, this is the first accident ive ever been in, btw, and ive never gotten a ticket, or been pulled over.

so what are my options? how much do you think it will be to fix her junker?

Your deductible is for damage to your car, that is the collision you have on your car. She will need to get an estimate, did you exchange insurance information, if you did she has probably already called her insurance, which will get in contact with your insurance, which will get in contact with you.

The point is this: you backed into someone's car and did damage to it. It doesn't matter if the car is old or you think it's crappy. You have a few choices: you can pay for it out of pocket or you can report it to your insurance company. Period. As for what it will cost to fix her car, have her get an estimate from the bodyshop that she goes to and present it to you. If you don't think it's reasonable, you can always let your insurance pay for it. Also, it doesn't matter if the damage affects the driveability of the car or not. Damage is damage. You caused it, you pay for it.

Have her take it to a body shop, get estimates, and then get out your check book. Pretty simple.
