I have a '03 Chevy Impala, it seems as if my radiator fluid has a very very tiny leak, I must put more in probably every 3 weeks but not alot. Also my heat becomes kind of cold when I experience this problem and only provides heat when I accelerate. When I add more radiator fluid it seems to be normal, why is this?

A couple of weeks ago, I was backed into in a parking lot, leaving considerable damage, so I had it repaired at a local car dealer. The car seemed fine after it was repaired, but I only drive about a mile a day to work and back. Anyway, a few days ago I went shopping and I noticed a problem when I slowed down, the car would halt for a sec then run fine, now it does this all the time. I thought it was the brakes, but it wasn't. I found out that the trans fluid was nearly empty. Now I have to go dispute this in the morning. So my question is, when a radiator is changed, does the transmission fluid have to be drained and changed also? Anything would help, thanks!

I have an 88 olds eighty eight series with a 3800 engine and for the past week it has been hesitant to start. Usualy it starts as fast as the key turning to the ignition spot but lately it has had to turn over a few extra seconds. Tonight I was out for about 1/2 hour and when I pulled up to a stop it stalled for no reason. The engine sounds fine, no more vibration than normal, and it started after it stalled. It has hasn't given any codes either. What would you suspect to be the problem?

I own a car which has clocked 133,000 miles (I'm the third owner). The previus owner bought it at 103,000 miles. He never changed the timing belt, and doesn't know if the owner before him ever changed it (there's no way of contacting the first owner). I've heard it's not possible to inspect the timing belt to find out it's condition. How do i find out if i need to replace it or not?

My car was running fine up until that point. Got a new battery after I took it back to them to have it looked at and now it's fine. As for my question, is it just a coincidence that my car wouldn't start directly after having an oil change? Hey, it could just be a bizarre coincidence, I'll give anyone the benefit of the doubt. I just wanted to get some input. And by the way, they didn't do batteries, I went down the street for the new battery. As for anything else - before I had the battery replaced, I checked the cables, they were snug. The guy at the auto parts store tested the battery - it didn't have much life to it. After leaving from getting the oil change the car drove fine - but I just had to drive down the street. I didn't leave the lights on. 2 hours later, the car won't start, got it jumped off. Car cut off at red light, got it jumped off again. It would stay idle in park, but not in drive with my foot on the brake. I can't think of anything else useful.

I take pretty good care of the car. Change the oil regularly. It runs really well with no problems that I can tell. The dealership puts the full court press on for a timing belt change every time I get my oil changed these days. Is it critical I get my timing belt changed with 110k miles on the car? It runs so well and the timing belt is very expensive to replace. any thoughts?
