I take pretty good care of the car. Change the oil regularly. It runs really well with no problems that I can tell. The dealership puts the full court press on for a timing belt change every time I get my oil changed these days. Is it critical I get my timing belt changed with 110k miles on the car? It runs so well and the timing belt is very expensive to replace. any thoughts?

Manufacture recommends replacing the timing belt at 105,000 miles. You have what is called an interference motor. Meaning there is very little clearance between pistons and valves. If your timing belt snaps while your engine is turning your valves will most likely punch right through your pistons. Meaning new engine. Depending on the type of Accord you have will depend on the labor hours involved. For a DX 2.2L engine the labor guide calls for 3.7 hours. The shop you use will probably recommend more hours and work as preventative maintenance, such as water pump, gaskets etc. Most shops in California charge $60 and up per hour. Your car has two belts that will need to be changed. You can buy your own parts to save some money, but most shops will not warranty the work unless you use their parts. You don't have to use the dealer for good work. However I would not recommend using the cheap shops either.
Ask your friends and family for a good, clean, honest shop. Make sure the have done the work your requesting before and get an estimate first. Check their warranty and let them know not to do any extra work unless you are explained why it is needed and you authorize it. Bottom line pay $300- $500 now or pay $4000 or more later.

The timing belts on the Accords have always been sensitive, I'm surprised you hit past 100K, I would change it tomorrow if you could. The transmission, is another delicate point in Accords, same with the A/C compressors, so make sure all these are running in top shape.

The amount your dealer would charge is far less than having the belt break while driving out of town. You would be pressed to pay whatever the garage wants to charge you. It is usually not done the same day either.
The belt does get quite a bit of wear and tear. You may not see the underlying damage.

yes it is critical especially with this honda motor. It is a interference motor which in layman terms means that if your timing belt breaks it will tear up the whole top end , which would be more than a timing belt change by about 1200.00$

change it before you get stuck somewhere when it breaks. most car manufacturers tell you to change it every 80 thousand miles or so.
