Does any one know how to get a front axle out of a four wheel drive dodge 99? My husband has it tore apart and now he can not get it out.

When I am going uphill or when I accelerate really fast my Chevy makes a really weird crackling noise and stumbles and loses power for a second. Then the "Service Engine" light comes on. Any freakin idea? lol. Its really annoying.

I am rebuilding a 55 chevy pickup, and currently have a 10-bolt rearend. However in every car mag I read, people talk about putting in 12-Bolt and Ford 9 inch differentials....

If it's just going to be a weekend cruiser (no racing) does it really matter?

I am pretty much at my wit's end here and getting desperate. I have a 1996 Camaro Z28 (that I do love) I am not the original owner, I bought it used back in 2000, maybe 99 and in a nutshell, have been spending 1000's over the last few years trying to get the check engine light to stay off. It has been worked on by at least a half a dozen different mechanics, one being the dealer and one also being a "camaro expert." This was all done in Pennsylvania, as this is where I've lived my entire life. I am now living in the southern California area, I am trying to get this light off so I can not only get this smogged, but also to evetually sell it as I would like to get a newer Camaro. BUT it has now been at a mechanics shop for over a week now and as of an hour ago, the light is STILL ON!!! I do not know what else to do. The car is running superbly (god only knows I've had EVERYTHING done to it) but no one in their right mind will buy a car with this light on. Someone PLEASE help me!!

I have no idea what's wrong with it. I have a 2002 Ford F150, and it's not wanting to shift. It's an automatic and this problem just started last night. I filled up the gas tank last night and since then, it's been having trouble changing gears. Could it be bad gas? If it is bad gas, could the gas station be responsible? We also had some really bad storms last night, so could the distributor cap be wet? Do you think it needs transmission fluid? I have no idea what's going on. I'm afraid it's bad gas. If it is, what can I do? I really need some help.

This is on an older chevrolet from the 70's with very big doors. Doors longer close flush, they sit out a bit and down from the car body. What is best way to fix this. And I would prefer staying away from just jacking them back into place since that seems like a short term solution that could cause quite a bit of damage.

I have had my van in the shop 3 times now, the brakes are new and they say there is nothing wrong. Why are my brakes squeaking? My van sounds like a school bus stopping sometimes. It is embarrassing and I want the squeaking to stop. Does anyone know what it could be? My van is still under waranty and I am getting upset, if the brakes are squeaking I know it's not normal.

It's fine on regular streets where I am going 35-40. And it doesn't happen all the time. It was really bad today and I am taking it in tomorrow, but I am trying to get an idea of how much this is gonna cost me and what it might be.

What is something that if broken needed to be fix in order to drive it, like not an engine thing, but like a headlight or something. It need to be fixed or cops would pull you over for it. The thing needed to be fix must cost about $300 give or take.

Im thinking like a broken side window? Lets just say kid owes me money but doesnt plan on paying, so im gettin it reimbursed in another way. ;]

I have a 1996 Chevy Lumina with about 130,000 miles on it. The AC worked perfectly until the cam shaft went...then the car sat in our garage for about 5 months until it was fixed. The dealership put a used engine in it, and since then, there is just no cold air coming out. The blower works, and so does the heat. Could this be something major or should I just try one of those refill kits? Thanks!!

The lady is trying to charge me $850.00 for one little scratch. There was no police involved or no report done because I dont have a valid liscence. I offered to take care of things and she accepted quickly by taking down my number and address now she calls me and says she will need a 3 day rental while her car gets fixed and it will be a total $850.00. I offered to take the car some place cheaper and she said no. Did I mention that my car was really damaged and her car is a bucket? Really old.

Hi
I bought a injen IS2022 intake for my 2001 camry(V4), I installed it and it ran great but to days later when I flored the gas pedal the check engine turned on, everything on the car looks fine, the car runs just fine and the intake is in the same order as it was? and the same thing happened with my friends K&N intake when we installed it on 330 BMW. Is it possible that we did not take of the negative charge of the batterie and now gives the problem? I heared that if you take of the batterie for 15min the computer resets itself and then the problem would be solved.
Any ideas?
Thank you
any ideas

93 jeep cherokee engine started jumping when idling at a stop sign. Now the engine completely stops running when I brake for a light or goes below a certain RPM. Is this an engine or transmission issue? Or something easier to fix? How much should it cost if I take it to a mechanic?

The statement made is
"A spokesman for Cambridgeshire Trading Standards said detecting silicon in the fuel could indicate the presence of silicone, the chemical compound containing the element. "

Would it not be obvious that having detected silicone in the fuel that there would DEFINITELY be silicone? Am I wrong in assuming this as they state "detecting silicon in the fuel COULD indicate the presence of silicone"

Help - I am confused!!!!!!

Hi,

For a little while now my dash lighs have been acting funny. First half my radio and my shifters lights went out. Then my airbag light would come on until I put on my headlamps then it would go out. Now today the service light went on and 2 min later the entire dash went out and only the High beam light is on.

So I changed the fuses. Now the dash is back, but the airbag light is still on and still goes off after I turn on the head lamps?

I drive a 2002 chevy cavalier if that matters.
Any idea what could be causing this?
