Hi
I bought a injen IS2022 intake for my 2001 camry(V4), I installed it and it ran great but to days later when I flored the gas pedal the check engine turned on, everything on the car looks fine, the car runs just fine and the intake is in the same order as it was? and the same thing happened with my friends K&N intake when we installed it on 330 BMW. Is it possible that we did not take of the negative charge of the batterie and now gives the problem? I heared that if you take of the batterie for 15min the computer resets itself and then the problem would be solved.
Any ideas?
Thank you
any ideas

It comes on when the highly sensitive sensors detect an "abnormal" (read: non factory) signals. Any competent service shop can reset that light.

Did you re-connect the mass airflow sensor? Did you re-connect it properly? Disconnecting the battery might help. Is the intake tight? Because if any air is bypassing the MAF ( also known as the MAP) sensor, the car will not run correctly.

BTW, the Camry is an inline 4 cylinder (I-4) not a V4. No car I know of currently has a V4 in it. It's either an in-line 4 or a flat four (boxer)

once you install the intake you replaced the air bypass to the engine and the maf sensor is sending incorrect air gas information. to the workstation. The maf sensor is quite comfortable and should be dealt with intently and wiped clean with contact cleanser. The compressed air and critical coping with would have damaged it also. a clean sensor gained't sparkling up the basis problem brought about via the hot intake.

The MAF sensor doesn't read right with the new intake, or is disconnected. Your computer can't keep the engine in proper tune anymore because you messed up the parameters.
