You have two separate problems. The first is a rattle and the second is that your car won't start. The second problem is the one to work on. In the future, state whether your engine starter turns over ("cranks" the engine) or whether your engine cranks but won't fire and continue to run. Also mention the make, model and year of your car.

could be different things...
not enough oil? something wrong with the belt? bad gas?
i'm not a mechanic, but i advise you to see one - if you want to save your baby ;)

it is probebly time to get a new car...or to check if the belt is broken...or just go to a machanic to ask wat is wrong...if it is really old then dont even bother
