When I am going uphill or when I accelerate really fast my Chevy makes a really weird crackling noise and stumbles and loses power for a second. Then the "Service Engine" light comes on. Any freakin idea? lol. Its really annoying.

It may well be the gas you are using. If you aren't using Premium try that.If that doesn't work you may have problems with your timing.

Possible that the egr valve is not working right . So your engine pings (( sounds like someone put marbles in the engine )) This will turn on the SES light to tell you to check the code stored in the ECM . Have someone scan your car for codes this will point you in the right direction . But do not just throw parts at it check thinks . If its the EGR valve is there vacuum to it are the ports clear does it hold vacuum . Could be lots of things but sounds like an EGR valve to me . Good luck hope I helped
