have 2002 f250 truck i used factory wiring to hook up brake
controller after doing so seem to not have brake or turn signals on trailer installed new multi funtion control checked all the wiring from truck even under cab where the plug goes together for lights going back to rear of truck nothing there believe ground on traileris good because everthing else works fine

try tester before also hooked trailer up to buddies pickup every thing worked fine

Check the wiring on the trailer. Also check your fuse panel in your truck. Clean your ground on the trailer and the brake controller might be bad even if it is new they can still come out with problems.

All you can do is take a test light and start looking. Check and see if you have fire at the connection at the back of the truck. If you do then go to the lights and check. I bought a trailer once that had a bad light socket on it new. You may have to replace the lights.

If you have a new reese hitch and ball you may not have a good ground due to the paint on the hitch were it slides into the reese part. sand it down to bare metal and see if that works
