My engine is a GM 3800 series II Before i replaced the bearings, the engine had a loud clanking/knocking sound. I replaced the bearings, changed the oil. There's no knocking when i start the engine However, the knocking isnt completely gone. I hear the knocking when i try to accelerate. The other thing i noticed, is my oil pressure gauge goes almost to the red zone, like its losing oil pressure. The other thing i noticed about my other gauges , is that they all seem to get really low, especially when i come to stop. Any suggestions? I love my bonneville and i dont want to get rid of it, but my last resort s to put her out to pasture

I have a 95 Camaro with a dead 3.4 that has already been jerked. I'm building a carburated 350 that should have over 400 lbs. ft. of torque and the stock Camaro T-5 is not rated for that. I've also ripped out the PCM, so I'm guessing I'll have to install a new speedometer. T-56 are a hot item and are selling used for $1000 and up, and I don't know if I can use my speedo without the PCM anyways. I just want an overdrive stick shift but don't want to spend thousands. Thanks alot

I noticed that the back tire of my Scion xA looked really low. I went to fill it up but it was very confusing. The owner's manual said inflate to 29 PSI. The tire said maximum inflation 44 PSI. (Quite a difference.) So here are the questions:

1) Should I trust the tire (44PSI) over the manual (29 PSI) because maybe they equipped it with a different tire?
2) When they say "max" (same on my bike tire) do you usually fill it close to the max or far below it?

Thanks

The engine light is on and I had it checked with Autozone for uplink sensor which is the sensor that measures the O2 coming out of the engine and into the exhaust.
Additional information: it is a 2001 Hyundai Tiburon 2 litter engine.

It appears that the fuel cap sensor is going off and despite me changing the gas cap it is still lights up. Shops are asking for $80 diagnostic but I think the issue can be solved much easier and I don't have the money.

I am assuming I need to access the ignition switch. I have done things like adding OEM fog lights and I know where the alarm system is located under my dash. Any help please!

I have a 2003 Toyota Corolla that has hit 99,000 miles. I have kept it in excellent shape, including oil changes every 5000 miles.

All I know is that it accelerates very poorly (just happened today), and the moment I take my foot off the gas, the car slows down tremendously. I'm really afraid to drive it. I'm taking the car to the dealership asap tomorrow morning.

Any ideas as to what could be wrong and the cost of repairs? I know it's asking a lot with such little information (sorry, I'm really worried about it!) THANK YOU!!!

My 2003 Toyota Corolla has 99,000 miles on it. I was told that I could let the car go about 2000 over the due date for an oil change. It's currently over 1500 miles since the due date (making it 4500 since last oil change).

I only drove it an extra 5 miles home when the problem occurred. It doesn't accelerate easily, and if I let go of the gas for even a second, the car slows down tremendously.

I'm getting the oil changed tomorrow morning first thing, but I'm afraid I can't make it to the Toyota dealer, which is about 10 miles away. How many miles do you think my car can make?

What kind of repairs / costs will be necessary for repairs if it breaks down? (Sorry, very worried.)

I have a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am with a 2.2L 4-cylinder engine. I don't care if I have to take things off (emission controls) I have a base knowledge of cars, so if you say I should increase/decrease the idle etc. I can do that. Thanks!!!
