In a Saturn I had, the reset button was inside the fuse box under the hood. Turn the key to on and hold it for a couple of seconds. IIRC

I have an 01 Olds Alero, it might be the same. Open up the fuse panel cover and there should be a red reset button. Turn the ignition on but don't start it, then hold the button until you hear a ding or chime, then release the button and just push it once until the light on the dash flashes, then hit it one more time and the light should go off and you will hear another ding. Try that!
Also try looking in the owners manual, it's in mine.
