Does anyone know how to remove the trunk lock emblem on a 1984 Cadillac Coupe deVille without breaking it?

Look in the hole and locate the emblem retainers. Probably 'pinch' clips, maybe 'pal' nuts. Pinch clips--put something you can tap with hammer on end of studs and tap 1 side then other until clips come free. Pal nuts just unscrew like regular nuts. You will have to get new pinch clips to put it back on. Press in on outside and use a small socket to drive them back on. Apply a dab of grease on socket to stick clips to it so they won't fall off while trying to start them.

Open the trunk lid, use a 3\8" socket to unscrew the retaining nuts from the inside of the trunk lid.
