How do i check the ECU in a 1994 buick lesabre? It doesnt have the OBD1 terminal...is it OBD2?

Problem: Car has a terrible stumble on acceleration...it usually dies. Same problem while stopping. once you get it to go, it does ok...but dies in corners.
At a certain point in the gas pedal, the engine will rev and go down, rev and go down, it is rapid and almost "timed", like it revs and goes down 1 time per second. Sounds like a electric problem, but the check engine light is not on.

Since this time, i "replaced" the catalytic converter, and the sparkplugs.

I disconnected the TPS while it was at idle and nothing changed, only the check engine light came on. Same rev ploblem.
I checked the OHm's on the TPS and they moved with the throttle...could this be my problem? Any help would be very apreciated! I am not a fan of Buicks any more!

I am having a problem with the wipers on my Montana. They are only working on the high setting. They will not work on the low or intermittant settings. Any ideas why this would happen? I assume the fuse wouldn't be an issue because they wouldn't work at all? the switch does not "feel" faulty. They also will not go down when turned off. In their natural rest position, they either stay at the bottom of the windshield or in the full up position. Any ideas???

I have a '98 Oldsmobile Cutlass and I can hear the fan really struggling when I turn on the air (hot or cold). There's 5 levels on the knob (5 being the strongest air flow) and on level 5 it moves like it's on level 2, it's just really weak. Then, it'll stop completely. If I switch it to defrost it also won't work. Then it'll all of a sudden come on, but still struggles to work fully. Is it wiring or the fan...? Also, if it's bad wiring, does anyone have a ball park idea of how much it would cost to repair? I'm kinda freaking out because I have an 18 month old daughter and I can't be driving her around in 20 degree weather. Please help!!

When I am in park and hit the brake, it sounds like my car is reving up. When I am driving down the road and come to a fast stop, the motor will shut off, but all power stays on. I noticed that with a full tank of gas, it doesn't die as easy, bbut it will still die if I have to come to a quick stop.
I have read that it could be the booster, or the tcc converter.
I would be very greatful for any help, also costs of the repair...
Someone also told the that the transmission could be going out, is that possible??

The "Fault in pass.-restraint system affecting airbag, belt tensioner or belt force limiter..." message started appearing a few weeks ago out of nowhere. Any ideas on what this could be and how do I bypass this?

My 95 mitsubishi eclipse non turbo will not start. It turns over strong but act likes it does not want to ignite. I have been through an elimination process. New fuel pump, new coil but never fixed it so returned it. New camshaft and crankshaft position sensors. Tested the fuel pump relay, MFI relay (Auto shutdown switch), and throttle position sensor and MAP sensor with a multi meter and all fall in spec with the repair manual. New fuel filter. New plugs, and wires seem to be fine.Car is garaged where it stays around 45 to 50 degrees, so it can't been frozen line, though it all started the night after I washed the damn thing. The one time I got it started, it ran great and never died, and it started again a few hours later, but not this morning or all day. Can anyone give me any ideas what to try next?

I have a 1998 Explorer that has been in the shop for 12 days. The shop had originally installed tensioners charging me 1700.00, they are now crediting me the 1700 since last Thursday my motor quit. Now for the past week since I have paid them 1800 difference they have said that they are waiting for Jasper to rebuild me a motor. Does this sound right? I kept calling the repair shop, and this is what the guy said. I don't know anything about motors, but Jasper being a big company...right? Do they rebuild engines one at a time? Thanks in advance.

how does the difference between a 160,180, and 195 degee thermostat effect engine cooling and heat in the cab in the winter. this is on a 1968 ford f100 pickup with a 390cu in engine. i just bought this old truck and it does not seem to get very warm in the cab. the heater control valve is new and the radiator is full of coolant.
