I recently had a cambelt change on my ford focus at a ford garage and when I went to collect the car, they had put the old cambelt and tensioner in a see through bag. They hadn't changed the pulley though and said that it didn't need renewing. My question is where do I stand legally should the pulley fail and cause engine damage, and how long after the date when they did the job are they still liable

Someone ran into the back of my Daewoo Matiz at the weekend, the back bumper is bashed and the rear floor has been crushed.

How much do you think it'll cost to repair

Here's the full story

I was at a roundabout and stopped to clear my window because i couldn't see clearly, the car that hit me was very close behind. I went to pull away and stalled. I pulled on my handbreak (the road tilts slightly so i didn't want to roll) Put it in to first, dipped clutch was about to start engine when he came into the back of me very hard.
My sister and mother were in the car, my sister was in the back hit here head and would have broke her neck she didn't have her seatbelt on. Me and my mam were ok.
The bloke who went into me is trying to blame me and want's to go through the insurance, but he was to close, to fast and driving without due care and attention.

I've been told it's not my fault as he went into the back of me.

Has anyone been in this situation? What did you do?

Everyone--ive been having a problem with my car for a while now... I drive a 89 Chevy Corsica.... and when I go to stop at a stop sign/light my car idle's really hard, and sometimes dies on me. It's freaking me out, not to mention embarrassing! Can you give me a guess of what it is? We put a bottle of fuel injector cleaner fluid in my car the other night to see if it would help..... how long does that stuff take, and can u tell me what it would be if not that?!

My truck doesn't want to heat up, the temp gauge stays on cold, which doesn't let my heater work. The only way I can get it to work is by putting it in passing gear. It is a pretty big truck that drinks alot of gas, can someone help a damsel in distress?

Since a new catalyctic converter was fitted plus a whole new exhaust system (not vauxhall original) & a new timing belt, my 1600cc petrol engined 02 Zafira seems sluggish at low speeds & kangaroos a bit . Could the timing belt be out slightly or could it be a non Vauxhall exhaust causing this lack of ooph

i have a 90 mustang lx. it has always run "warm" and before i knew anything about cars, id just put water in because coolant seemed to disappear. i replaced the thermostat and water pump last year (water pump failed), and put in coolant. apparently the coolant must have all drained because recently i noticed there was little to none. the car still runs, and it seems to run fine. how do i know if there is engine damage? how can i check? i was planning on taking a big trip in the summer, but i want to know the condition of my engine

It has a moderately bad leak. If I leave it in a spot all night it'll have a small puddle directly under the Trans Fluid pan. I've gotten up under and looked at it and the leak doesn't seem to be coming from a single place, it seems to be coming from all over the pan.......The car shifts just fine when it has trans fluid. If I let it get too low because of the leak, it slips gears. Whats the hell is wrong with it?

Ive seen how they do it before but im not sure what is used...they like use some kind of screw,screw it in then pull it out piece by piece then they bond up the surface to leave it smooth.

light failure lights in dashboard come on at random sometimes
ok for weeks then front ones come on then rear ones
changed rear bulbs has had tow bar fitted at some time
seems worse when damp weather
does anyone know if this is a common problem or will i have to check out the whole loom
