Hello everybody, I have another grand marquis with 80,000 miles on it and I'm experiencing some weird problems with the tranny. It shifts nice and smooth but when going into the third gear it shifts nice but starts like shaking a little so I have to take the pedal of the gas and press it back again so it can downshift....This usually happens when going up little hills at a constant speed just when it hits third gear starts vibrating and so I take out the my foot off the pedal and press back again so the shaking can go away... why is this happening? It's a grand marquis 1997 with 80,000 miles on it. This usually happens when slightly accelerating, usually happens at 50 miles and hour or so,,, Would it be again that I have to flush the tranny fluid from the tranny and torque converter and put back mercon v tranny oil? any help i would really appriciate it, thanks guys

I'm 99 % sure that my repair shop tried to rip me off. The other one percent could be that they were all COMPLETLY INCOMPETENT. I brought the car for a second opinion and they identified the problem in 20 minutes and charged me 50 bucks, the other place wanted 870 and said they wernt a hundred percent sure if the work would fix the problem ( it wouldnt of). I guess my question is: is this something to report and if so, to who?

I have a 94 chev. camaro V6. It is an automatic Transmission. When i put the car in drive it goes nowhere, but the engine is running. In order for the car to move I have to start out in lowest gear and manually switch to higher gears the faster that I go. If I stop then i have to go back to the low gear again. I basically am driving it as if it where a manual transmission. Reverse is working fine. Anyone have any suggestions on how to troubleshoot and fix the problem?

So tonight was fun. I went to get in my car after leaving work to find my parking lights were left on. So when I had to drop back into work real quick not 5 minutes later, and had to restart my car it gave me trouble. Eventually it started, and i attributed it to my being an idiot and leaving the lights on. So i decided to take the car on a bit of a drive to ensure the battery got a little charge. About 10 or 15 minutes later the temperature guage was through the roof and in the red zone. I saw a little steam coming from under the hood so i stopped at a friends and let it cool down. I put coolant in when it got cold but the low coolant light is still on. I've had to put coolant in my car about once every month or two since I rear ended a tacoma about a year and a half ago... How much is it going to be to have a diagnostic run on this? Any ideas as to what the problem might be?

My blazer will not accelerate well at all. It will slowly and I mean slowly accelerate. I could probably smoke it off the line by foot. It sputters, stalls, backfires, and reaches only 3 thousand rpms on the dash. It seems to eat a gallon of gas per mile. And is just killing me in repair bills. This is what I have replaced from what mechanics say will conquer this problem. I have replaced the whole exhaust. High flow cat and walker muffler. New EGR. New AC Delco wires w/ autolite double platinum plugs. Yesterday I replaced the spider injectors, plenum gasket, and fuel pressure regulator. If anyone knows how to fix this stalling, no accelertion slash backfiring problem, please respond. I seem to be getting broke and annoyed by this problem and these mechanics.

The needle on the temp gauge does not move at all (always says cold). It has been this way since I purchased the truck about a month ago. The truck runs great. However, I would like to know if the engine is heating up -- it seems like the gauge might just be disconnected.

My other observation is that the heater is very weak. It only warms up after about 30 minutes and even then it's only luke warm. If the outside temperature is -10 or lower the air hardly gets warm at all.

Any info would be helpful, thanks!

My '95 Mitsubishi 3000gt has bad bushings. It starts to shake really bad. Past 65mph it's undriveable.

I need the car for work every single day. My job is 30min away. Is it safe to drive the car daily for work until I get this problem fixed? Thanks

I desperately need my car in the AM and it is giving me big problems! Tonight, I was stopping and going around town, I noticed when I got in my car after stopping a couple of times the idle was very low and died on me, after giving it gas, I was able to get it to pull out of the parking spaces and it did not die while driving, idle seemed ok, but it might have felt a little lower than usual. I looked down at my gauges when I was almost home and noticed the temp was way up to hot, I was right down the street so I got it home. When I turned it off I noticed that it had a "fishy" type burning smell. The fan did click on right away as usual, there was a slight bit of smoke coming from the area around the fan. Also, (I read about this in some other posts) when it was 25-30 degrees a couple of weeks ago I noticed that it took my car about 20 minutes of driving to get it to warm up, a looong time, sometimes the temp gauge would even go up, only only to go down again( it did not do this today

I have a 94 Toyota Corolla that has a bad freeze plug. I need to know how much it would cost to have someone replace it for me. It looks to me like a lot of parts will have to be removed to be able to get at the plug. Any help?
