I have a 94 Toyota Corolla that has a bad freeze plug. I need to know how much it would cost to have someone replace it for me. It looks to me like a lot of parts will have to be removed to be able to get at the plug. Any help?

i own a repair shop, and you have no warranty,so id get ready to have this one done,if its one of the easy ones to get to it usually runs around 70 bucks for everything ,that's flushing the system out and refilling it all,its not going to cost you no more than 125 bucks at the most,if they can get to them,if have the others replaced on it also,if one went the others are about ready to go also, check around, different shops charge different prices for this, and you may get it done a little cheaper, good luck, with it,i hope this help,s.

The labor to normally replace a "core plug", its not called a "freeze " plug is ..5 hours, , thats with nothing having to be removed, any parts needed to be removed to access it are an additional charge, for example, if a motor mount and starter have to be pulled to get to it, then add on the labor to pull those parts also. The part is cheap, only a few dollars, its the labor that cost alot sometimes. I agree though, when one goes, the rest are probably not in good shape either.

if its out in the open - it will be easy - most are not. cost will depend on where the leaky frost plug is , and how much stuff needs to be removed to service it.
