what do you think the best way is to get a melted candy cane off of the back seat of a car

Candy canes are mostly sugar. Warm water should dissolve it just fine.

Eucalyptus oil will disolve the candy or chewing gime and leave no stain

sounds weird but i had to get gum off mine and wd40 worked
