1994 Buick "le suck"?

Question

How do i check the ECU in a 1994 buick lesabre? It doesnt have the OBD1 terminal...is it OBD2?

Problem: Car has a terrible stumble on acceleration...it usually dies. Same problem while stopping. once you get it to go, it does ok...but dies in corners.
At a certain point in the gas pedal, the engine will rev and go down, rev and go down, it is rapid and almost "timed", like it revs and goes down 1 time per second. Sounds like a electric problem, but the check engine light is not on.

Since this time, i "replaced" the catalytic converter, and the sparkplugs.

I disconnected the TPS while it was at idle and nothing changed, only the check engine light came on. Same rev ploblem.
I checked the OHm's on the TPS and they moved with the throttle...could this be my problem? Any help would be very apreciated! I am not a fan of Buicks any more!

check your map sensor , then check for any vacuum leak,s.....your computer may not have any code,s stored.......before starting.....turn your key to the on position.....observe your check engine light.......if it blink,s once ....then information is stored for you.........if it doesn't blink...then there,s nothing there.

You really need a certified auto tech to properly diagnosis this problem, as there are alot of things that can cause that problem. The 1st thing though that comes to mind after being in the business for over 20 yrs is the MAF sensor. Disconnect it while running and see if the problem inproves, the car will not run 100% perfect with it unplugged, but if the sensor is bad or dirty, by unplugging it, it will put the computer system in "limp-in" mood and should inprove how it runs. ps,most GM MAF sensors are just dirty and need to be cleaned. I agree with the MAF sensor diagnosis. It probably has dirt on the semiconductor element. Tiny lint like fuz from cheap air filters.or carbon coating. Use choke cleaner spray on it.
