that fast clicking usually means that there is not enough power coming from the battery. There is enough power for the solenoid to engage, but as soon as power is fed to the starter itself, it takes all the power that is left, including the little bit the solenoid was using. So, the solenoid clicks off - it won't stay on if it has no power. Once off, the starter motor is no longer able to draw any power, so the solenoid clicks on again, etc.

This could be from a dead battery, or a loose or dirty connection to the battery, frame or starter motor. Or possibly a broken or corroded ground strap (usually a flat strip of braided copper wire, it grounds the engine to the frame.) Any of these things can reduce the amount of power available to cause these symptoms. I've had a number of cars do this to me, and the culprit was always one of these.

Check your plug wires again, maybe one was loose, if the one to the coil was loose it would still turn over though.

We need to know what you mean by seized up? Usually when someone says that it means the internals of the engine have locked down and permit the engine from turning over.

I am guessing in your case you mean that the engine will not start?

The best thing I can recommend is to get a breakover bar and socket on the counter-balancer and try to roll the motor over by hand. If it will roll over by hand, then start checking your battery and starter. If it won't, then you'll need to remove the belt or belts and try to roll it over. Possible that AC compressor locked or something. If that doesn't work, then you will need to pull the motor away from the tranny and try to roll it over then. Something is locked up...just a matter of finding out what. Good luck.

well from the sounds of it you might be looking for a new engine did you put oil back in it(I'm not trying to make you sound dumb)make sure the drain plug and filter was tight you might try put some oil down the cylinder's let it sit for a day or overnight then try to work the crankshaft back and forth
