Just to add a little note to the previous answer. Double check the timing marks when done BEFORE starting the engine. These are interference type engines and if the timing is off, you will bend valves and possibly cause piston damage. Take your time and be patient and follow the manual.

Its pretty hard not to know its 115hp, less than a hyundia accent, or 205hp, like most V6s oh and its all wheel drive. you would know by the distinctive howel from the large trubo mounted to the exhust manifold. Or just look for where the badges are on the back, if there is not room for the VR4 after Galant then its not. If you have AWD but no turbo then you have the Galant GSX same car just no turbo :( hope this helps, oh yeah if the 5th number is an X and the 11th letter is a Z then its the AWD VR4

i own a repair shop ,and you need a good socket set ,and metric wrench set to do this with, and you,ll also need a good repair manual ,it will show all the timing marks in it and have pictures of it also, there's more to it than you think but with the right work area and the right tools, and a good Haynes repair ,manual you can do it,as good as a professional can, just take your time with it,don't get in a hurry, this is where most people mess up ,they get too anxious to hear it run,and forget a few things, read the manual as you go,this will help a whole lot, good luck,i hope this help,s.
