Hey,
i own this car, http://www.punctureproof.tripod.com/ and as u can see it is very low and has large 18" wheels. the car has been lowerd at the front to spax 50mm springs and the back has the tortion bar adjusted.
The wheel archs & fuel pipe line have been modified to cope with the large wheels, the car is drivable believe it or not.

what i want to know is how much would it cost to re-higher the car back to the orignal springs and tortion bar back up to where it was.

i am keeping the wheels on the car soo getting small wheels is out of the option, anyways even if i go get smaller wheels i will still need to re-higher the car cuz with smaller wheels means the car will be even lower to the ground right?

My truck sat for approximately 2 months over the winter because I bought a more economical vehicle as my primary mode of transportation. The other day I had to use the truck to haul some material and when I started it the brake light stayed on. The brakes seemed a little mushy so I took it to a local shop. The mechanic said he replaced a brake line that was leaking due to rust and bled the brakes. The brakes seem to be ok but the light still stays on. He said something about a sensor or something that tell the brake light to come on but apparently he wasn't interested in curing the problem because he said he wasn't sure where it was located and closed the hood. Any answers as to what can be done to solve the problem? By the way I won't use hime ever again.

I have a 99 Acura Integra LS with 101,000 on it. Some repair shops say that they go ahead and change the other belts while others don't. Is this a necessary procedure? Also, would you recommend taking my car to a Honda/Acura dealership to change the timing belt or is it okay to use any repair shop certified with ASE mechanics?

what are some reasons that it could be running hotter than normal? the antifreeze is full, and the water pump was replaced not too long ago. Could it be the thermostat?

My car is a 1997 Pontiac Grand AM GT with 58,600 miles on it. I usually start my car in the AM to warm it up, but the other day when I went into it, it was only blowing cold air while the temp gage was functioning normally. I took it to a shop where they said it was the intake manifold and it was leaking anti-freeze, but not with puddles on the ground, the anti-freeze was mixing with the oil and going out through the exaust. my car's low anti-freeze light comes on all the time and occaisionaly the heat doesn't work. i was told it was a $700.00 job and was also told that the water pump was starting to go as well. Should i go ahead and spend the money or just try to get whatever trade-in I can while it's still ok, the mechanic said as long as i keep the anti-freeze up, it can't get any worse than it already is....mind you i still have $1400 left to pay it off.

I have always gone to my local Firestone to get work done on my car. It is mostly just an oil change, but I have also had some other things fixed. I went there for my last oil change and I told them about a sound I heard. They came back with the suggestion of replaceing my struts. A $600 job. My dad suggest I take it to another place and compare prices. I did and this other place said they could not find anything wrong with it.

After an engine oil change, I smell strong tire burning like smell from the vent. It lasts about a couple of hours, and then, the smell disappears. My car is Mazda MPV 2005. I brought the car to the dealership, and they said that the antifreeze hose had a leak. they said that they need to replace it.

But my question is, if there is a leak, why there is still a lot of antifreeze left in the antifreeze tank? And why is the smell is gone after a couple of hours?
