More than likely. There were few changes to the vortec 4300. Go to autozone.com and plug in the numbers. If the part numbers are the same, you are in luck.
Edit: Yes, they are interchangeable.

call your local chevy or GM dealer. ask for the parts dept. ask who ever picks up the phone, to cross-refrence the numbers for both vehicals. if your engine is the same c.i.d. cubic inch displacement. as the 2000.theres a very good chance it will. even if the part numbers are different...........E

it should be the same.i cant see why they would change in that length of time.
