I have a 2003 acura RSX. and the engine makes this horrible loud ticking sound, and when i start the car and turn off the car the engine sounds like its winding up and down.

the tachometer reads high also..

what could this be? and how much am i looking at to fix this problem?

everytime i start the car, there is this loud high pitched squeaky sound from my car. around the engine area. I think it's from the conveyor belt since its continuous, doesn't change in volume and sounds like it's spinning. Maybe there is some friction with the belt? During the night, however, it stops. It's really annoying and attracts many people's attention. (attention i don't want) What can I do?

It's a holden barina. The degreaser was called Australian Export Degreaser by MMP Industrial Pty Ltd. The film has stuck to plastic pipes etc and looks like cream coloured paint. I followed the instructions, engine wasnt hot etc. I want to sell the car and now the engine looks wierd.

i can start my car in the mourning and after work but i drive all over town then stop for a few minutes and try to start the car it wont start sounds like the battery is dead but if i let the car sit for 20 or so minutes it will start right up just bought battery yesterday checked alternater and had battery tested was none of those things what could it be??????

Last month I had a remote starter put on and then right after, the service soon light, ABS, anc Traction off, lights came on. I took it back to the guy who did it and he couldn't figure out why they were on. I was not having problems until then, but now my brakes make noises and they seem to pump by themselves sometimes. I can also feel and hear a grinding noise now. I know it needs to go to the shop now but what do you think might have gone wrong?

I have a 1999 Mitsubishi Galant with a 2.4L Engine. The engine began acting up a little at a time untill i was unable to restart the motor at all. It acts like it's trying but will run, it just spits and sputters a few times and dies. I checked the spark and found out it was firing twice as many times as it should. On the number 1 cyclinder it would fire at TDC and Again at the Exhaust stroke. I checked another cyclinder same thing with it's spark plug too. I replaced both coils, no difference. I'm suspecting the Crank position censor but it must be sending the signal. Could it be the ECM Engine Control Modual?

My early model 2000 blazer has external temprature and direction panel along with clock and lights behind gages. The lights have been slightly flickering for a while but now it has become more pronounced and nearly goes completely black. I thought at first it was something to do with stereo wires but it seems to be more affected in damp tempratures, happened coming out of car wash yesterday. I asked the mechanic at shop all they would say it bring it in. I'd like to know if this is an issue someone else has had and/ or if anyone serriously knows what might be causing it. There are no other signs of issues, well maintained vehicle, new alternator & battery. No real signs of power draw when it occurs. I'd like to get ahold of the wiring spec's for my blazer too. Help!! Anyone knowledgable on this sorta thing. Also NEED a more affordable Mechanic in Mississauga Ontario area that is trust worthy, for repairs I can't do myself.

ok, here is the situation, we know how to bleed the brakes but one of the valves or whatever you call it, is stripped and won't turn, we have tried vice grips, pliers, sockets and wrenches and nothing is working so here is my question

is there anything else we can do to get it loose? if not, is there another way to bleed that brake?

I had a particularly hot curry last night, and I've been at it all day today, in some considerable discomfort.
I think I've bust me clacker valve, how much would it cost to repair ?

i bought this tachometer from one of my frens for a good price..goes up to 11000 rpm..but the problem is dat jst recently the backlight or the backgrounlight or watever they call it, has gone dim n now its gone off..which means i canot read the techo at night coz theres no light there to show me the numbers n the guage..so anybody here can help me out n tell me wat should i do coz its no use puttin a tacho which i cant read at night..

Just had an MOT which my car failed cos both the front CV joints were split. It cost loads in labour to get fixed and just wondering if there is anything I can do to make sure I look after the new ones! I dont wanna be lumbered with this bill again soon! Is it just one of those things due to wear? Or is there something that makes them split? I am completely dense when it comes to cars so please help!

I turned truck off,now it won't crank. It seems to have charge in system all lights and buzzers come on strong. battery terminal has been found loose on occassion. What else could be the problem?
