Oil leaks can be caused by many things, you first need to find out where the leak is coming from. It can be as simple as a wrong size filter to a crack head gasket.

if its cam or valve cover gaskets replace them ........same for the transmission pan (automatic) if its seals that are leaking go to an auto parts store and ask for some seal conditioner to add to the oil. the stuff works wonders most of the time. if it doesnt fix it you are out only 3-5 dollars. its certainly worth trying.

gaskets get hard from the heat.if you got a leak, try snugging up the bolts a little.sometimes the bolts will work loose over a period of time.
