Yes, unless you have all wheel drive. If you do, the tires have to have equal tread wear, or the drive-train can be damaged.

Yes you can,,its good to buy a matching tire to the other three though,,and dont forget,,most new cars have directional tires mounted,,means,,,the tire will have an arrow on the side wall which will tell you which direction to mount for forward rotation.

Yes you can. I would go to a used tire place though. It is much cheaper and they will be able to match with other tires easier.
Also, when you get one new tire, it seems to stick out like a sore thumb.

You can but if you are going to replace one it is better to replace a minimum of 2. So if you are going to do a front tire replace both If you are going to do a back tire do both. It has something to do with the alignment of the car.
