no the engine is the block and heads (pistons crank valves cam)

the intake fuel injectors starter manifolds alternator caskets valvecovers oil pan sparkplugs trans etc all bolt on to it

No. The starter along with other parts such as the alternator, power steering pump, air conditioning compressor and other things that may bolt to the engine, are actually engine "accessories". The engine itself is the block and cylinder heads and their internals. Now the intake and exhaust manifolds, the timing covers, valve covers and water pump may be in that little gray area, but are still usually not considered the engine.

Not at all. The starter is a separate motor of it's own. If you're checking for warranty, it will state the starter motor if purchased used. if purchased new recently, then it's should be under warranty. Good Luck!!

No. They're attached to the enging, but not part of one when you by a new engine, even when you buy a used engine, although sometimes they'll include one.

You I believe it is, you need that jolt of 12 volts to start the engine, then I'd say YES!

not necessarily. when u buy a used engine certain things may or may not be included.
