I have a 2WD chevy silverado 2004 that i bought while living in california. I've recently moved to vermont and 4WD is practically a necessity for a truck on snow roads, is there a way I convert my truck to 4WD?

I was told that my 2004 caravan needs a new egr valve. Is this something that needs to be fixed immediately? Or can it wait for awhile?

We park our Honda outdoors and when the temp goes below freezing, the dash flickers on and off (including the center console features), all of the guages (tach, fuel, oil, speedometer) drop down and knock against the pegs at the bottom. The trip meters on the odometer also reset to 0 each time and the seatbelt alarm beeps until the driver buckles it. The colder it is the longer this lasts but it does go away when the engine warms up. I've had it in the shop twice but they haven't found the problem. Any ideas before I take it in a third time with no results?

I've been driving a 2001 Mitsubishi Galant and it's about time to sell it but before i did that I wanted to get rid of the cigarette burns in my car. They are mostly on the inside of driver's side door. The upholstery is made of some type of cloth (Pretty standard type I guess). The burns are right around the handle and I'd like some help on this matter if anyone can. Thanks.

What do you have to do to switch your regular gas vehicle over to flex fuel so you can use either regular gasoline or E-85?
Can this be done with all vehicles?

my breaks were replaced last year. i have had the pads checked and they are good. but sometimes when i apply my breaks they make a pulsating knocking sound. making it hard to stop and steer. this usually happens when making a turn or going down an incline. it does not happen every time i use my breaks, and has happened only when appling breaks while going at a slow speed.

His car was perpendicular to mine (I guess I have no depth perception) and my side scraped his bumper. I left a note for him to call me to exchange info, but I was thinking something like that might cost less than my 500.00 deductible? 1) would it? and 2) is it "wrong" to ask him to get it appraised so I can pay for it and not bring my insurance payment up? Does one have to get one's insurance company involved in order to get something appraised? It looks like there are just scrapes of my paint on his bumper and I may have taken off some of his paint, but there can't be structural damage...

I know that I will have to have my rotors fixed or replaced because whenever I stop the car shakes, but just today whenever I slow down there is a clicking noise with that shake. It's not bad but I know that it's not good. Could this be just another sign that it's time to have the rotors fixed or something else?

I can't tighten the cable around the terminal anymore. The guy at Autozone said to use paper clips to make a connection. Is this reasonable? If so, where do I put the paper clips?

i have a 2000 mitusubishi Galant with 94K miles. aamco said my transmission is going bad. by getting my transmission fixed i hoping it will last for another 2yrs. I just had a major tune up and 4 motor mounts replaced. FYI i had under carriage damage which may be the root cause of my transmission problem.

I have a 87 Toyota Mr2. My uncle gave it to me. The engine is refurbished 2 years ago and it runs great. But I noticed that if I don't use the car for 4 days or more. The engine won't start right away. It takes like 2 or 3 times before it starts and I have to step on the gas aswell. I don't get this problem When I use it everyday. But sometimes I can't. Can anybody tell whats wrong with it? A friend told me that it could be the timing belt. Please help.

Car starts great when I get a jump. I charged it by driving around a bit. Turned it off and it started right back up. Left it overnight, now it won't start- it acts like the battery is completely dead. No electrical systems left on or anything, and battery tested good on voltage. Just changed the battery cable terminals b/c I suspected that was it (trouble starting in wet weather) and it started fine the first time afterwards, but now its not (no noise or anything). Any suggestions?

Hey all. I left my Honda Civic (1991 stick) parked in the garage for like 8 months and didnt disconnect battery (duh). Now I can only jumpstart the thing as battery hasnt enough power. Starter engine turns but main engine just wont catch (turns briefly but not enough to get going). I checked the 4 spark plugs and 2 have, what seems to me, OIL on them. I think I read somewhere that oil could have leaked onto plugs by pumping the gas pedal too much while trying to start the car and doesn't necessarily mean that the rings are worn out?

My main question is; what is the easiest way to get the thing going so I can actually drive to a garage? Will the engine turn if I push start it down a steep hill (or a cliff? hehehe)..

Thanks

Experiencing crunching noise around corners and over bumps, noise from outside car from suspension area, front and back.
Could this be broken upper spring seats? damaged link strut?Control arms? Other than the noise which is noticable in the cabin, there are no performance issues with the suspension.
