How do you switch gas vehicle to flex fuel?

Question

What do you have to do to switch your regular gas vehicle over to flex fuel so you can use either regular gasoline or E-85?
Can this be done with all vehicles?

It basically consist of a computer reprogram to accommodate the fuel to run in the engine, Plus the E-85 will break down gaskets that are used in gas engines, So you need new gaskets in the fuels system, like the O-rings for the injectors and what not, usually about 75 bucks for all the gaskets installed and some dealers are charging 200 for the reprogram of the ECU to work. It's really not that hard. your ECU will need a new mapping to allow it to inject the correct amount of fuel. There are a couple of rubber parts that the alcohol would eventually eat away and you need to replace those. That's it.

I believe it would be to expensive to change a modern car over. E-85 also will burn faster and you will use more so the only real advantage is the cleaner air.

alot of the newer cars already have the capability to do so without any changes, usually the 8th digit of the v.i.n.# will tell you, contact your local auto parts to identify the engine
