I had a particularly hot curry last night, and I've been at it all day today, in some considerable discomfort.
I think I've bust me clacker valve, how much would it cost to repair ?
Or should I just drink yoghurt and hope it sorts itself out ?

so which you want them to deceive make it extra "colourful"? Do you think of there making that up? i do no longer think of you already know what valve spring's do. while a valve spring breaks, the valve keepers fall out and the valve drops interior the cylinder which then mushroom's or breaks the rod to no longer point out pops a hollow interior the piston via fact the piston won't be able to compress a extensive bite of metallic. i.e the valve. Spring expenses and pressures are very serious and fined tuned to the carry and length of the cam. There the main under pressure area in any engine.

Not only could it be your clacker valve but your muffler bearing may also be shot (Curry can do that). Yogurt may fix things for a while, but if you keep up the Curry you are going to have real exhaust problem in the end. (Oh, and my helper tells me that you could end up with some fluid leaks in your rear differential as well).

Good Luck with it!

well, a clack valve is something used by the fire briagde..which can pump fluid in both directions without stopping...

ooo eeee... and teh only known cure for ringsting is to put the bog roll in the fridge, and use lemon juice instead of yoghurt... it wont cure it, but it will wipe the smug grin off your face...

Gav on the whole i think you are a gas man.Your big end is shot and needs regrinding .new gasket will help regain good compression .your dump valve will need recalibration .Some rad seal will help the matrix also .drink some dry ice .

try a 50 50 mix of tomato ketchup and yoghurt then you should see the origin of the kn@ckered clacker.

It will cost you lot more to decipher your question than fixing it.
