Does anyone know anything about the wheel sensors on a laguna. I'm needing a new tyre and was told at a garage that the tyre will have to be put on a special way or you can burst the sensor in the valve and they cost over £100 TO REPLACE surely there not that expensive. That would mean about £250-£300 just for getting one tyre. Any help appreciated

When driving, there is vibration coming from the passneger side tire. It sounds like the tire is about to fall off. Could a bad tire cause this?

Is it possible that the specs on engine sensors are different if they were bought from a local auto parts shop and not the original manufacturer like GM??Anyone ever had problems with any type of sensor that wasnt that same specification as the original factory piece because it was bought from a local parts store like Napa, Autozone?? I'm specifically talking about the coolant sensor for the computer on a 1987 Gm pickup 350 tbi.Anyone??Anyone??

Here's the story, a 300M was towed in to us with a no start
condition. With a generic OBDII scanner no codes were returned, and the vehicle started upon the first try, we left it for several hours in the cold, again it started right up and was easily pulled into the service bay where I put our OTC Nemesis on it, thru the OEM link, i pulled a crank sensor code. which I then replaced.I then changed the oil and left for the evening. Upon returning to the shop in the morning, the 300M was not starting. So then, we replaced the cam sensor on a blind stab since the 300M would not kick out any other codes. Still, the vehicle will not start, I pulled the plugs to find them soaked with gas, cleaned and reinstalled, not start, warranteed them out for new, still no start, still flooding. After pulling a coil and grounding it and the spark, spark is clean and white, so i stuck a computer in it on my day off, problem still exists.

Yesterday, I left my lights on all day while at work in sub-freezing temps and the battery was dead, dead, dead when I got off work. I drive a 1997 Mazda Protege.

I had purchased a Schumacher "MityMite" Automotive Jump Starter/DC Power Source (PS-70A). It was fully charged. I attached the red clamp to the battery's positive pole and the black clamp to chassis ground.

Nothing. Nada. I let it sit there for a few minutes. Not even the slightest hint that a charge was present.

Lucky for me, someone else had jumper cables, so I jumped the car easily from a live car battery.

What went wrong? I followed the directions to the letter.

I have a couple that have cuts in them from a wrack a couple years ago, esp on the front. So when I drive it, say over 40-50 mph it starts feeling like the tires are outta balance. Which I know their not, I just had them checked just the other day.

What do these mean? I have been taking my car to the shop where I bought it and in the past month I have had to have them replace my thermostat and they put in a bad one so they had to do it a second time. They always seem very vage and when my MIL came on again I took the codes that came up and didn't have them fix it. These are the codes that came up PO128 and PO302 for the #2 Cyl. missfire. I'm wondering what this means??

I have a 2002 Chrysler Concord and I have had 3 transmission pan leaks since I bought this car. I bought it brand new. What exactly is the transmission pan and what does it do? How much, on average, is it suppose to cost to repair the leak? Sometimes I feel like I'm getting robbed by the mechanic because 1) I'm a woman and 2) I know nothing about cars. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

This has got me a bit baffled so all input welcome.

I have a Lucida 2.2TD which runs as sweet as a nut, BUT .. when I pull up to a stop, using the footbrake there is a regular clink clink clink noise coming from the area around the alternator. If I apply the handbake and release the footbrake, it stops. The other weird thing is whilst it is making this noise, if I turn on say the lights or another heavy power draw, ie blower, then the noise gets louder.

Anyone had this problem ?, and if so what was the solution.... ??

There are no noises during normal travel or braking. No apparent fluid leaks, no shiny spots on metal surfaces I can see indicating whats catching.

2003 Ford Taurus SES:

1st Concern: Squealing coming from Serp Belt. Recently had it checked out and Serp belt is fine....what's causing the squealing and is there any way to correct it w/o replacing the belt?

2nd Concern: Psycho Strobe Turn Signal, recently started on my left turn signal, i've never seen a turn signal blink so fast. What's up with this???

3rd Concern: Colder Weather Freezes one line of washer fluid. Any ideas to correct.

Finally, all of these issues do not seem to bring down the performance of the car, no emergency lights are on and I have not noticed any changes. I just can't stand hearing the squeal through a closed car and only having one line of washer fluid work when it's truly needed.

This is coming from Colorado where we've had a really good snow season thus far and frigid temps.
