Is it possible that the specs on engine sensors are different if they were bought from a local auto parts shop and not the original manufacturer like GM??Anyone ever had problems with any type of sensor that wasnt that same specification as the original factory piece because it was bought from a local parts store like Napa, Autozone?? I'm specifically talking about the coolant sensor for the computer on a 1987 Gm pickup 350 tbi.Anyone??Anyone??

I've purchased several sensors from autozone(tps map) neither of which worked properly. In the sense of one didn't even fit properly(yes it was double checked as the right part number for my car and as oem) and i went thru 6 tps sensors from them before i got one that worked properly. Now I only by from the dealer.

Autozone tells you if it's an original equipment sensor or a generic. Originals are always best, but you don't have to get them from the dealer.
