I don't have alot of cash and my front tires are really bald so I was considering the Guardsman tire since it was so cheap but then again the price makes me wonder how long it will last me they want $34.98 per tire. Also anyone shop at Pep boys since I know they sell tires but they don't put prices online and their location is inconveniant to find out there tires aren;t any cheaper then somewhere else I go. Thanks for any help

Front Passenger side rotor is scrapped and needs replacing as do all four brakes pads. Do i need special tools to work on this Mercedes? Can anyone recommend a good manufacturer? I have read alittle about Beck Arnley, has anyone used their parts? Should I just have AutoZone do it for me, they want 140.00 dollars for one new rotor and all four pads.

Hi I have a 1987 Plymouth Reliant K and I havnt had a need to drive it this winter but ocasionly i've started it up and have had rediculous white smokey exhaust thats rather intoxicating. More recently I looked under my car to notice what looks like sludge puddles 1 under my engine didn't look to see exactly which part it was under and 1 about a foot away from my rear left wheel. It's been in my car port the whole time has only had some snow on the trunk and front bumper from the wind. Theres also old burnt oil I think on my engine block but seems very old so probably not related.

The PCM has determied that the warm up catalyst efficiency for bank 1 is below threshold for the current engine operating conditions. ( Bank 1 identifies the location of cylinder #1, while bank 2 identifies the cylinders on the opposite bank )

my college kids are stranded on the interstate in a car that ran completely out of gas last night, so the tank has been mostly empty in 20 degree weather for a week. They filled up the tank before hitting the road, but now it's stalled and husband thinks condensation caused water in the gas line.

Okay, I just got a full GReddy cat-back system along with Hot Shot headers installed on my 01 Celica GT (installed professionally). All is well, except now there's kind of a burning smell polluting my car. Is it just the "new" burning off, or is this irregular? Any help is appreciated.

I was changing the oil in my car (2000 mustang v6) and noticed while I was pouring it into the car that my boyfriend picked up 10w40 instead of 5w30. I didn't finish pouring it in because I wasn't sure if I should just drain it back out and get the correct oil for it. Is this ok to keep in there for a little while or should I hurry and put the correct viscosity oil in it?

My car is a Jeep and has about 90,000 miles on it, we bought it used at about 60,000 so I have no clue what the previous owner did to it....I get regular oil and filter changes but that's basically it but I'm getting worried and think I should start doing other things to it...what things should be done? I thought of tune up and tire rotation but can't think of anything else -- what should be done during a tune up as well? Thanks

I recently got new brakes and an alignment when my car was being repaired (the catalytic converter), now, my driver's side back wheel is squeaking when driving (NOT squeaking when breaking... just the spinning of the tire is squeaky). Any ideas?

My car had a check engine light go on, error 420. The mechanic reset it for me, but told me to come back if it went off again. It did, and he is telling me the cat has fallen apart and could clog my engine. He's claiming it costs 300 for a new cat, and 700 for one from the dealer. Should I get the cat changed plus the O2 filter as he reccomended? The car itself is probably only worth about 3000 max, and the total job is gonna cost about 700-800.
