Sears Guardsman tires are now made by Bridgestone. These tires are an OPP (Opening Price Point) tire, which means they are not of the highest quality. They are not , however, junk tires. You get what you pay for.
As far as the Good,Better, Premium lines, the Guardsman tire is classified as a Good tire. It is also classified as a Great Price tire, which means it is not subject to promotional markdowns. In other words, it is always $34.98 (or $39.98 or whatever price, depending on size).
For a smaller, older vehicle(e.g. 1988 Nissan Sentra), these tires will give you a perfectly acceptable ride and reasonable longevity.
Remember that the $34.98 is just the price of the tire. Mounting, balancing, new valve stems, optional Road Hazard coverage, tire disposal, and a possible state environmental fee will push the out-the-door price to about 60 bucks per tire.
Most Sears Auto Centers will charge, depending on the vehicle, either $64.99 or $94.99 for alignment, which is always recommended.

I had a set of Guardsmans once that I bought because they were cheap. I hated them. They could never be balanced right and they would shake at 60 mph no matter what. I also had Pep Boys Cornel radials. Good tires for the money. I've had 4 sets of those things on 4 different vehicles, and I've always been happy with them. The only reason I didn't get them this time is because they didn't have my size, so against my better judgement I went back to Sears and got some B F Goodrich Revelations. They're good tires, too. I swear to God, they're called Revelations. But I will never get Guardsmans again.

I have 3 different sets of these tires one is Radar the other two are Guardsman. They are all good quality. I would never advise purchasing used tires. I ended up using a coupon and got $60 off the purchase of the two sets of Guardsman tires 245-70-16 and 215-65-15 and they were $502 after taxes and fees. That is a great price. I do not have Sears install them, because I do not trust them. The tires are all great and are actually better in rain than the Goodyear Assurance tires I had before. Good tires great prices. Remember that often these tires are made with the same quality in the same factory that makes your big name tires. You are often paying extra for a name.

RE:
Any one familier with sears cheap Guardsman tires.?
I don't have alot of cash and my front tires are really bald so I was considering the Guardsman tire since it was so cheap but then again the price makes me wonder how long it will last me they want $34.98 per tire. Also anyone shop at Pep boys since I know they sell tires but they don't...

Sears Guardsman tires have been made by Cooper for the past couple of years. They are now in the $50-60 price range depending on size. They are good quality tires for their price range, better than Falkon, Hankook, and other low cost tires that often have treadwear problems.

As of 2014, the Sears Guardsman tires are horrible. They were good in 2007 and 2010, but the set I bought a few months ago were horrible. They pulled to the left, I rotated them back to front and that got me a bad wheel shimmy. Sears went bad.

ive got a couple of guardsman tires that came on my car. they seemed to be in good shape and to be decent tires, but i put a different size on anyways, so now theyre just good spares. as far as cheap tires, discount tire is about the best that ive had. even if they give out or something, they have a good warrantee. ive had at least 5 tires that ive torn up in the last few years and discount has replaced all of them free of charge, even though it was my fault they went bad.
