I just had a key cut and programmed for a 2001 Astra 1.6 it cost me £75.....£44 for the cut & £31 for it to be programmed. Not a good experience - cash wise!

You need to get the the fob inside the key for the immobiliser programmed, and to do so you need to have the security code that came with the car a four digit number that was supplied on a card with your radio and chassis code . and someone with a tech2 unit. Many decent auto electricians will have a tech2 unit to code the key.

If however you don't have the code you gotta order it from vauxhall, and they charge you for that as well.

After looking at the link you've put up, i noticed it's for the new style vectra, i don't think you can get a blank for your car that'll fit in the fob I think the key blade will be to big to retract

programming has to be carried out by vauxhall or someone with suitable equipment, the key on th eother hand will have to be cut by someone who has the key info and a laser type cutter, the key may have to be ordered!!
