When i start my truck it gives off white smoke for about 5 - 10 min.Now it seems to last long.

When we bought our latest pre-owned car, (a 1994 Saturn) the drive belt would squeal LOUDLY for about 30 seconds when the car was cold. After that, it would quiet down. So, I changed the belt to a brand new one. Guess what? It's still doing it! Always during the first 30 seconds or so after starting the car in the morning.

Why would the belt squeal if it's brand new? I've checked the tensioner and all the pulleys the belt runs to, and none of them squeal when they are turned...so what gives? It has to be the belt...but it's a new belt!

Help!

My '84 Toyota already had one rear shock tower rebuilt. My bf thinks the other one needs done but since the car passed inspection in August I tend to doubt that it is that bad. The car does have a clunking sound back there when I go over bumpy parts of the road but I'm not convinced it's the shock tower. Could the fact that it is so very cold here have anything to do with a car being clunky?

I am talking about the side door passenger mirror.Its a 2000 model and the mirror is hanging...do I need a whole new thing ? I dont know how it goes on...HELP PLEASE!

The smoke is intermittent. By the way, it's blue smoke. How does one tell whether the problem is valve seals or oil rings? Thank you.

anyone know what the name of the car polish they use at the auto body shop that gives that nice shine to your car?
i think its called auto glaze something like that? and can the general public like us get it? or just the auto body shops?

I have a 10 year old SUV, and this morning the car won't start. Engine cranks out ok, but it is not starting. Never had this problem before. The car started out once this AM so that I was able to take the car out of the garage, but it soon stalled out. I changed the battery, but it did not improve the situation. Anybody know the problem? Is it a starter? If it is a starter, how come my car stalled as soon as I started the car this AM? NOw the car won't start at all. It just cranks out. Any help will be appreciated.

The dealer who sold me my car told the mechanic that he would pay for the repairs. When I went to get my car, the dealer told me that I could not have it until I paid him back. He never spoke with me about any of the repairs or how much repairs to my car would cost. He spoke with the mechanic but not me. What should I do?

The K engine runs well,but a very slight miss at low speed and high,only 49000 miles on clock engine just turns over some of the time not firing, sometime when the engine is left over night it will fire up,and also some of the time it won,t it just turns without firing.Each time I ressect the immobiliser.Battery is OK. As I said there is no sign of the head gasket gone,not lacking any power.It will bump start and now and then will go off the key,this is a 16 val injection on a Y Reg 2001.Any advice what to do or look at would be a great help.Regards.John.

It's parked in a car port and it's winter. I went to Sears and got a new battery a couple of weeks ago. They checked connectors, starters and everything is ok but the old battery. It's been a week since i used it. So this morning i started the car it kinda hesitated. It's a 2003 Hyundai Elantra. 5o,ooo miles. i had a tuneup at 36,ooo miles.

i own a 1995 pontiac trans am. i brought it to the mechanics shop to get a tune up becouse it was running rough. i got new spark plugs, a distrbuter and rotor because i was having problems with moisture getting into the distributor and causing my car to stall. a couple of weeks later i was driving and the car just died. its not like it stalled and stopped it just shut off as if you were to take the key out. then it would not start for like 10 min. if you tried starting it you would here the noise you normaly would when you try to start a car but it wouldnt kick over. then after 10 min it would start as if nothing happend. its done this a few time already. yesterday it starded perfectly then it did it again but this time it didnt start after 10 min. i waited about an hour then tried it again and it did kick over but it was sputering at like 200 rpm instead of 700 or 800 and turned off...the mechanic said it might be the plugs but i want to try and figure it out before i go to him again

I own a 94 Grand Prix...just replaced my battery after my light turned on. The first time I drove the car with the new battery, no light was on. However, the second time and on, the light is back on. I also noticed that the light on my radio was flickering a bit as I was driving the last time....What could be wrong?

Hey i have turbohydramatic 400 tranny, thats well over (a good 6 -8 inches) the full mark on the dip stick.. I wanna drain the tranny fluid out of it but can't seem to find a drain plug.. How do I do this?? And how bad is it too run a tranny what is overfulled by that much?? Would that be the reason my revs drop so much when i change into drive???

She crawled up through the passenger size. There's some sort of opening there, but I don't know where it goes, or what else is back there. I think she might have gone up there because it was dark and/or warmer. Its a suzuki esteem, 2000 model year. Any suggestions?

i check my tire pressure every 3 weeks. my front right and rear right tires are always at least 5 to 10 psi low.my left tires only 2 to 3 psi loss what would cause this?
