my car is being repaired after the insurance forked out the £3200 cost, It was bent on the front and had to be jigged will this be recorded on the car details when i get it back or do they not give it a category if they fix it

I just purchased a used park avenue. The a/c compressor works and the lines get cold, but the fans do not blow inside the car. They don't even come on. What could be the problem? The fans have been tested and they are good. Is the blower a module or relay? Help, Please.

flahers won't flash. transmission locked in Park. engine will not turn over. nothing electrical seems to work is ther some sort of alarm or failsafe that i should look for?

I've got a '97 Altima, and as of yesterday, it's been making these strange kind of clacking noises--only when I turn right, though. The car doesn't handle differently or anything when that happens, it's just the noise. Any idea what's going on?

First off, I'm not a mechanic. Know just enough to be dangerous and don't mind admitting it. #4 cylinder in my daughters car was dead (pull plug wire and makes no difference in the rpms). Decided I was going to take off the valve cover and check the valves and rockers. I thought they had alot of play in them, more than the others. While I was getting the tools out, a friend bumped the ignition and changed location of the valves. I adjusted it like whenIi checked the first time. Car would not start. Adjusted back to where I tyhought they had been. Got it to start again, but either dies or almost dies when you put it in gear. What is the spacing on the rockers when the cylinder is open? Any ideas why the cylinder could be dead? New plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Tried turning distributor also. No difference. But need to get it back to where it can be driven at least. Any info on the valves would be appreciated. Thanks.

Recently I was In a car accident and the passenger side door took most of the impact. The door will not open. My question is how does one get inside of the door to remove it or repair it. I have a 2003 Pontiac Sunfire. I tryed to remove the panel inside just like you would if you wanted to change the speakers but the panel will not come off. If someone could tell me how this is done or point me to a website that explains this it would be greatly appreaciated. Thanks

I just wanted to say that I am sorry for answering that question the way I did the other day. As I use this forum more and more I realize how many answers that I was going to say the same thing that you did only to find that you already answered. I am starting to agree more and more with your answers. Then I read your bio the other day and realized how much you enjoy doing this and just how much you really do know. 1986 Pontiac Parisienne and now the oil isn't pumping to the top of the motor and I had a new oil pump put on it. They keep telling me that I need a motor , but I had a trusted mechanic check out the car and I was told that the motor is fine. What can cause the oil not to pump to the top of my motor. Thanks in advance.

I just bought my car last week and my service engine soon light came on, my dealer said to bring it back so they could take care of it, no charge (Yea!) but I would like to know so that I can save the trip. my transmission does not move untill it warms to max temp and then its fine but it wont go into 3rd gear at all, so im at 4000 rpms at 70mph. do i need a transmision or is there another way out. oh yea....... my engine light and o/d light is on the o/d light flashes. please help... i really dont wanna replace a transmission, only 70,000 mile on it!

I need diagram or instructions on how to connect my spark plug wires to the distributor, they are still connected to the engine but I am not sure what plug they went on and so I need the order, etc, to hook them back up. Thanks!!!!

I have a coolant leak from the r/h side back of engine. Appears to be coming from a housing on the right side of engine in which the surpentine accessories mount. Doesn't appear to be leaking at water pump. Is there a housing gasket that gets replaced there?

I accidently drained the transmission fluid from my 1995 ford aspire and now I can not find out where to add more transmission fluid. I read a repair guide for the car, and the owners manual and it says it should be infront of the driver, but I can not find where to add more, does anyone know anything about this?

pressing down on the front and back of car and nothing bounces, 1 broken coilspring, bad shocks. if i put in 4 coilsprings, their small will this make a smooth ride possable? feels like a truck goin over bumps. also when turning makes a creaking sound and snapping. also the car squeaks when i turn the wheel. whats up?

Someone "tagged" my car with spray paint. Unfortunately in removing it, I did not notice that I was scratching the windows. Usually you can't notice, but at night the light reflects off the scratches.

They are very small and I feel terrible about the idea of replacing the windows. Is there a way I can repair the scratches without a lot of equipment?
