I need diagram or instructions on how to connect my spark plug wires to the distributor, they are still connected to the engine but I am not sure what plug they went on and so I need the order, etc, to hook them back up. Thanks!!!!

Ok, I stated that wrong, they are hooked up to the engine already (distributor) but unhooked from the black box thing (car illiterate, I know). I tried hooking them up earlier and started it and it seemed a little loud, no back firing though, found the diagrams for firing order rehooked them and now it is backfiring and smoking by the firewall directly in front of drivers seat. Any idea what this could be?

Your best advise is go to a parts store and ask for the year, make and model "firing order" and ask for a cylinder location diagram. This will show you the direction the distributor turns and what cylinder the plugs go to. A library can also be used look for Chilton manuals. Be sure that your timing marks are lined up. When you get your diagram the above mentioned Chilton boks will up you step by step.

it somewhat is barely a brilliant situation in case you pick to stay. in case you improve even the smallest gasoline leak, those leaking wires are an fantastic source of ignition. besides, given ohms regulation, ability desires to take the path of least resistance, do you think of which you are going to fireside a dense mixture on the throughway to get faraway from the mack truck coming right now at you. get the music up finished, and replace the wires on the comparable time. it somewhat is due! as on your very final question, confident it is going to stall out below the the final option load concern.
