It depends. If you have the 3.1 engine, drain the coolant down, remove the serpentine belt, remove the bolts in the water pump pulley (water pump in on the top front of the engine passenger side). Remove the bolts holding the water pump to the housing. Clean all the gasket material from the housing. Install new water pump and gasket. Install the bolts and tighten, go over them a few times to make sure they are tight. Install the pulley and the bolts. Install the serpentine belt. Fill cooling system with water. Bleed air from the cooling system. Above the water pump there will be a vertical black tube with a brass bleeder in it. Open the bleeder using a 7mm socket. You will have to open and close it a few times to bleed all the air. There may also be a bleeder on top of the thermostat housing or there may be a tube that runs over to the over flow tank.

If you have a quad 4, take it to a shop. I wouldn't recommend trying to replace it in your driveway. The water pump is on the backside of the engine and you may have to remove the timing chain. It is not easy to replace.

This is a very easy repair if you know what you doing, if you don't have repair experience don't do it, even if you brought it in it would only be 60$. 3.1 Liter water pump cheaper to replace that 3.8 Liters, your car has a 3.1 Liter
