New battery and new spark plug and fresh fuel. The air filter is clean. All the electrical contacts have been cleaned up and tightened. It runs well once it is started.
I can not turn the engine over, it seems there is to much commpression.
With the spark plug out the motor cranks fine, and there is spark.
With the spark plug in and the exhaust manafold removed it will not crank the engine over.
Any thoughts or advise would be appriciated.
The lawn tractor is about 3 years old and has worked well untill this past spring when it seemed to start struggling as I was starting it.
I am thinking that the solenoid and/or the starter might be going bad reducing the power needed to turn over the engine, but I don't know how to check it out.
