white smoke ( when warm ) your burning coolant , head gasket, cracked/warped head / block , blue smoke your burning oil , rings, valve guides etc.

No, on a Vauxhall it's almost certainly worn Rings. Vauxhall engines are worse than Rover engines, rover only blow the head, Vauxhall blow the whole engine. Head Gaskets don't generally give signs, they just blow, and it's normally the head not the gasket, but Vauxhall heads are pretty good, the engine is less so though. It's not what you want to hear, but you want to sell the car before it really goes badly if you can or your gonna have to scrap it.

a smoking engine is usually a sign of worn piston rings. It can also happen if you overfill the oil. check your dipstick for signs, i.e. creamy means water is mixing with the oil usual head gasket sign.

There is no definite answer, but there are some leads. Engines smoke because of the way cigarettes are advertised and where they are shown. Engines also smoke because they believe smoking will make them act, look, and/or feel different.

i own a repair shop,and do this type of work,,and yes it could be a good sign of a blown head gasket there are other signs also but that could be part of it right there,,good luck with it,

Simple answer is light blue smoke means worn valves,
Black smoke worn piston rings
