I've got a '93 Ford Taurus(GL,3.8,V6) & I think my head gasket may be either blown or on it's way in a hurry. My radiator had a crack in it so needless to say my car overheated. Being in a money crunch at the time I had to keep riding untill payday (ya'll know how it is). Anyway, I just had a brand new one put in & about 15 min. later while riding some white smoke came pouring out of my tailpipe & through what looked like a little hole in my catalytic converter which is a whole other story. My homie's dad said that my head gasket was probably blown & either replace it, get another engine, or I could get some Bar's block sealant if it wasn't too far gone. The first 2 options are quite expensive so I'm leaning towards the 3rd. I never had any experience with liquid sealants before & don't know if they really work, just wondering if anybody has had any experiences good or bad.

It heats up and cools, but even on high, it just barely blows like it is set on low. I think it might be the blower motor. But not sure. If so, what does it take to fix it? Will it be very expensive? My brother said the whole dash will have to come out to get to it. Is that true? I would appreciate anyones input or suggestions since winter is almost here, and I am freezing when I first start my car. Thanks.

Ok.. I have a 1994 5spd fuel injected Honda Prelude. When I first start it up, it stays idle for about 1 min. Then, the idle keeps going up and down from 1500 to 2500 for about 2 min. Then from 1500 to 2000 until it eventually levels out and stays at one steady idle. I have no idea why the hell it keeps doing this! Please tell me what my car needs done and how much it costs about? Thanks!

I'm looking at getting my camry painted so it matches with the bodywork being done. I want a nice paint job, just one color (white), with gloss (or candy, or pearl, or whatever gives it that great shine and depth). i'm sure it'll be a couple layers, about how much should it cost? thanks.

I have problems starting my Truck and i was told it was the starter and the flywheel was used up and needed both new installed. I have a starter now
1 how much does a flywheel cost me and when i get it put in
2 will they have to take out my Engine?
3 do i have to get a new flywheel installed before the new starter goes in?
4 do they have to be installed at the same time?
5 what is the price range for such labor? What for only flywheel installation?

i have a 1996 n reg toyota previa 2.4 gl auto uk model and the engine went on it . so i changed the engine and box used my gearbox and my wiring but the engine i used came out off a 1993 toyota previa but all the switches etc were the same . it starts and drives fine but it changes the gear at 5000 revs which it wasnt doing before . on the throttle body there is a clip with 4 wires if you disconnnect that then the gears work fine but not the overdrive i have changed the gearbox as well and still doing the same does anyone outther no what it could be the wiring on the throttle body is called tps wiring . please help me some one i am desperate

I own a BMW 1 series type e 87 with a factory weight of 1340 kg. Does anybody have any idea on approximately how much weight I will save by removing all of the interior fittings which are not related to racing (and I mean EVERYTHING, right down to the bare metal).

Any suggestions on lightweight interior fittings (seats, instruments, roll cages and other accessories) will be greatly appreciated!

Examples: "replace the alternator, starter, battery and cables. Now I want YOU to fix it". People bringing their vehicles to "ma & pa's" garage for a "check engine" light on, only to have spark plugs, wires, and fuel filter "thrown at it" only to have the concern STILL present. Why is it that people don't realize that if they took their vehicle to the dealership for some problems TO BEGIN WITH, they would have hundreds, if not thousands of dollars having the problem fixed WITHOUT having uneccesary "repairs" done by "Joe's Garages"?

Anybody got an idea here? The last 2 times I've used my lawnmower it starts fine, within about 5 minutes it starts pouring white smoke from the muffler so bad that it dirties up the whole damn neighborhood. I've changed the oil, the spark plug, cleaned the under carriage, cleaned the carburetor, takin the hood off and cleaned the cooling system and still it does the same thing. I would just let it go but it shuts off after about 4 minutes and it's really hot. It also seems to worsen when I run over a thick patch of grass which makes me think airflow? But I cleaned the air filter too. Any ideas? Thanks!

I have a 12 volt lead-acid battery, wihch says is rated 5.0AH/20HR. I tried hooking this up to a 1.5amp/12v battery charger, and the charger said the battery was full. I know it's not charged because I measured the volts with a multimeter, and it said it .5 volts. Is this battery beyond being able to be charged?

i went to go pump and i grabbed the diesel pump (cause it was green, didnt pay attention) tried putting it in, wondering why it wouldnt fit (duh) a bit leaked out into my tank. i hadnt paid for my gas or anything so im just wondering if that little bit is going to hurt my engine?

Have a nissan terrano ii 2.7 tdi...thought battery flat bought new 1 it started straight away but now 30 mins later it seems flat and won't start. The sterio was stolen 1 week ago and the problem has started since then...could there be wires touching that shouldn't be or is this an alternator problem....
