i went to go pump and i grabbed the diesel pump (cause it was green, didnt pay attention) tried putting it in, wondering why it wouldnt fit (duh) a bit leaked out into my tank. i hadnt paid for my gas or anything so im just wondering if that little bit is going to hurt my engine?

You could of even put in a whole tank full of diesel fuel and you would have been trouble free. Diesel fuel doesn't pre-ignite in a gasoline engine. Pre-ignition is a gasoline engine's worst nightmare. So don't worry, no damage has been done!

You're fine. Diesel fuel is a very heavy, unrefined version of gasoline. Just dripping some in the tank won't affect anything. Had you filled the tank, then you would have to have the entire tank drained and refilled with clean gasoline.

Just continue to drive normally and make sure you grab the correct pump next time!

As long as you filled the tank with gas right away, a little diesel won't hurt.

no it should not hurt. just fill up with high test gas next time and run a 4-6oz of sea foam in your tank. sea foam can be purchased at auto zone.

a small amount wont hurt anything, but how much is a small amount?? ive seen this a lot, when a few gallons get in i would be a little concerned, but not over a small amount
