I got in a car accident where my car scraped up against another car. No damage, just traded paint. I have black paint now on my gold/brown car. Can I wash it off with water or some kind of solution?

I've just purchased a 1984 Ford E350. There are a couple of wires disconnected. One particular wire starts from the box that the voltage regulator is attached to. I believe that it should terminate at the battery but I can't be positive without a diagram.

There is a hissing noise that seems to come from the evaporator area in a 96 Accord. The compressor seems to be engaging but there is no cooling. What kinds of trouble can cause this hissing noise? Any idea of what bulk costs I am looking at ?

I have a 97 Honda Civic ex Vtec auto with approx. 155k on the motor and tranny. I have had no problems with it going in gear or shifting. But today when I drove approx 20 feet it slipped going into 2nd gear and approx 100 feet later there was nothing, like it was in nuetral, even when you put the shifter in park. But when I shut the car off for approx 5 minutes I can drive it another 20 feet before it does it again. It has fluid in it so that cannot be the problem. If anyone has any suggestions before I buy a tranny or part the car out that would be great.

My 929 was overheating, had one place check it out, said cracked head gasket. Took it somewhere else, they replaced radiator, fan clutch, hoses, etc. we picked it up on Friday, Saturday we noticed our heater was blowing cold air. We called the shop they said to bring it in on Monday. Sunday we drove it somewhere, blowing cold air again, and we noticed a really squeaky belt. Then the car started shimmying, and had a loss of power. When we got to a safe spot and turned the car off there was smoke coming from the engine! (It never overheated on the drive) Later when we went to drive home it was still running very rough, and the acceleration was very poor. It was like we could not go faster than 20 mph! So we left it at our friends house and got a ride home. None of this was happenning before! What did they do to our car!!!

I am looking for a transmission for my 93 ford ranger. It is a manual trans. 5 speed. I was told there were a couple of different types of transmissions for this model and am not sure which one is right for my truck. okay...well i have this gokart and ive been working on it FOREVER now.....and my bro is gonna come paint it up for me on Wednesday . ihad it spraypainted up and everything.but my bro bought a 80 dollar gallon of paint to paint on. i have started to take off the paint.but ihave a few questions.

1. Do i have to take off ALL of the paint...or can he paint over it?

2. Do i have to get all the rust off underneath?

3. whats the best way to get the rust and/or paint off?

i own a 01 maxima. when i did the oil change i poured 5qt of mobile 1 instead of 4 and half quart which was factory recommendation. in the morning i checked the dip-stick and the oil level was not in the middle of hot and cold sign it was little over the hot level. is this anything to worry about?

ok now regarding the brakes whenever i drive downhill in the mountains the front brakes on my car start making squeeking sound while pressing and releasing the brake pedal i could hear it while driving. but it doesnt make that sound on flat roads or freeways only in mountains...why is that? do i need new rotors becuz i just had the new akebono pads installed like 17,000k ago and had the rotors turned on machine, but. this time i am looking to get HAWK pads i heard some good reviews on them. so should i buy a new rotors or just get them machined once again..? and what type of rotors are better those slotted onces etc? please help. thanks!

I have a 95 Chevy Lumina minivan, the otherday the 2 front power windows quit working, Fuses ok , there is power to switch in drivers door, switch appears to be working correctly, I havent removed the door panel yet, could both of my power window motors or is there something I am over looking like a module or something?

A 1998 Ford Tarus. The transmission goes out of gear when i stop. Have to put in park then change back to drive for it to take gear. Have Change Transmission filter.

I got pissed on the road and the car is Automatic. I was on drive and slammed the shifter which went into park while the car was still moving then I put it back to drive. It freaked me out and the car seems to run fine but when it happened I heard a grinding noise. The car is an 06 Mustang.
